Fish Hoek Athletic Club proudly presents the 2025 edition of the Timbercity Red Hill Marathon. Join us for a scenic and challenging race through the picturesque landscapes of the Western Cape.

Date: Saturday, 25 January 2025
Location: Fish Hoek Athletic Club, Cnr Nelson Road & 20th Avenue, Fish Hoek, Western Cape.
Distances and Starting Times:
- 42.2km Marathon: Starts at 05h30; cut-off at 11h00.
- 36km Red Hill Classic: Starts at 05h30; cut-off at 11h00.
- 13km Black Hill: Starts at 06h30.
Entry Fees:
- 42.2km Marathon: R250
- 36km Red Hill Classic: R250
- 13km Black Hill: R110
Note: Temporary license fee is R105 for 42.2km and 36km distance, and R60 for 13km distance.
Online Entries:
- Close on Wednesday, 15 January 2025.
Late Entries:
- Accepted at the start between 04h30 and 05h15 on race day.
Number Collection:
- Tuesday, 21 January: 14h00 – 17h00 at Timbercity Montague Gardens.
- Thursday, 23 January: 14h00 – 17h00 at Timbercity Tokai.
- Friday, 24 January: 16h00 – 19h00 at Fish Hoek Athletic Club.
- Race Day: From 04h00 at Fish Hoek Athletic Club.
Starting and Finishing Point:
- All races start and finish at Fish Hoek Athletic Club, Cnr Nelson Road & 20th Avenue, Fish Hoek.
Hydration:
- Water and Coke available at tables every 3km after the 4th km and at the finish.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups or water bottles to refill at stations.
Timing:
- This event is timed by BoutTime timing chip.
- Note: No chip, no time.
Medals:
- The first 2,500 finishers across all events will receive medals.
Prize Giving:
- 13km Black Hill: 09h00
- 36km Red Hill Classic: 10h00
- 42.2km Marathon: 10h30
Additional Information:
- Tog bag secure facilities will be provided at your own risk.
- The use of music players with headphones is not allowed and may result in disqualification.
- No dogs are allowed.
- There will be a cut-off at the bottom of Red Hill (Simon’s Town side) at 5 hours.
- No littering allowed; this is a #RunGreen race.
