Buffs Marathon and Half Marathon

The Buffalo Road Runners are excited to announce the 2025 Buffs Marathon & Half-Marathon, offering both a full marathon and a half-marathon to cater to various running enthusiasts.

Set in the scenic city of East London, this event promises a memorable experience for all participants. Online registration details and all information about the event is mentioned below.

Location: Buffalo Club, 1 Buffalo Park Drive, Quigney, East London, Eastern Cape.

Distances and Starting Times:

42.2km Marathon: Starts at 06h00
21.1km Half-Marathon: Starts at 06h00

Entry Fees:

Marathon (42.2km): R340
Half-Marathon (21.1km): R280
Note: Temporary license fee is R70.

Entry Information:

Online Entries: Close on Sunday, 16 February 2025.
Race Day Entries: No entries available on race day.
T-Shirts: Free technical race T-shirt for the first 500 entries only.
Note: No refunds of entry fees.

Race Number Collection:

Date and Time: Saturday, 22 February 2025, from 11h00 to 15h00.
Location: Buffalo Club, Quigney.
Note: No number collection at the start line.

Start Locations:
- Marathon (42.2km): N6, 3km on the Stutterheim side of Macleantown.
- Half-Marathon (21.1km): Marathon halfway point (near Python Park).
Finish Location: Buffalo Club, 1 Buffalo Park Drive, Quigney.
Transport: Taxis will shuttle runners from Buffs Club to the start. Cost is R50 per runner, payable in cash to the driver on the day. Taxis start from 04h00.
Handouts: Medals to all athletes who finish within the cut-off time.
Parking: Available at the club.
Headphones: Use of earphones or external music systems is not allowed.
Pets: No pets allowed.
Prize Giving: Scheduled to start at 12h00.
