On the women’s side, Gerda Steyn delivered another world-class performance, finishing in 5:51:19 to secure her fourth Comrades title and third consecutive win. Steyn maintained a commanding lead from start to finish, confirming her status as the undisputed queen of South African ultrarunning.

Steyn’s nearest rival, Alexandra Morozova from Russia, followed with a time of 5:55:56. Kenyan runner Shelmith Muriuki made history by becoming the first Black woman to secure a podium spot, coming third with an impressive 6:07:56.
