Polokwane Athletics Club is thrilled to announce the 2025 edition of the Makoro Village Marathon. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Molepo Dam in Ga-Molepo, Limpopo, this event offers a range of race distances to cater to runners of all levels.
This is an Official Comrades Marathon Qualifier. Online Registration details are below.

- 42.2km Marathon: Starts at 05h30
- 21.1km Half-Marathon: Starts at 05h30
- 10km Race: Starts at 05h45
- 5km Fun Run: Starts at 06h00
Entry Information
Entry Fees:
- 42.2km Marathon: R400
- 21.1km Half-Marathon: R250
- 10km Race: R180
- 5km Fun Run: R80
Note: Temporary license fee is R60.
Registration Details:
- Online Entries: Open until Tuesday, 18 March 2025.
- In-Person Entries: Available at Polokwane Athletics Club House on:
- Wednesday, 19 March: 10h00–19h00
- Thursday, 20 March: 10h00–19h00
- Friday, 21 March: 10h00–21h00
Note: No entries will be accepted on race day.

- Dates and Times: As per in-person entry times above.
- Location: Polokwane Athletics Club House
Race Day Information
- Start and Finish: All races commence and conclude at Molepo Dam.
- Medals: Awarded to all participants.
- Hydration: Water points will be stationed every 3–4km along the routes.
- Tog Bags: Secure facilities will be available.
- Pets: No animals are permitted during the races.
- Walkers: Welcome to join the 5km and 10km events.
- Regulations: This event adheres to the rules of ASA and LIMA.
