SASOL Sasolburg Marathon 2025

Sasolburg Athletic Club is excited to announce the 2025 edition of the SASOL Sasolburg Marathon. Set in the heart of Sasolburg, Free State, this event offers a range of race distances to cater to runners of all levels.

The race is a qualifier for comrades marathon 2025 down run! Get your proper running gear and start training.

Distances and Entry Fees

42.2km Marathon: R280
21.1km Half-Marathon: R180
10km Race: R100
5km Fun Run: R50

Note: Athletes aged 60 and over qualify for half-price entry on all distances.

Temporary license fee is R70 for distances 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km.

Registration Details

Online Entries: Available until 24 March 2025
T-Shirts: Awarded to the first 500 online entries for the marathon and the first 300 online entries for the half-marathon.
Refunds: Please note that entry fees are non-refundable.

Race Number Collection

Details: Information regarding race pack collection will be provided closer to the event date.

Race Day Information

Start and Finish: All races will commence and conclude at DP De Villiers Stadium.
Medals: Awarded to all finishers within the cut-off times.
Hydration: Water tables will be available every 3 km; participants are encouraged to use personal water bottles, which can be refilled at these points.
Parking: Secure parking is available at the venue.
Timing: Electronic timing will be used for accurate race results.
Headphones: The use of music players with headphones is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
Pets: No pets are allowed on the racecourse.
Ablution Facilities: Toilets will be available at the start and finish areas.
Medical Support: Medical personnel will be on duty throughout the event.
Prize Giving: Scheduled to start at 10h00.
