Wonderpark Akasia Road Race 2025

Akasia Athletics Club proudly presents the 2025 edition of the Wonderpark Akasia Road Race. Join us for a vibrant race day in Pretoria, offering distances to suit all runners.

Date: Saturday, 25 January 2025

Location: Wonderpark Shopping Mall, Pretoria, Gauteng.

The race is a Comrades and Two Oceans Qualifier approved race.

Distances and Starting Times:

42.2km Johann van Eeden Marathon: Starts at 05h30; cut-off at 11h30.
21.1km Half-Marathon: Starts at 05h30; cut-off at 09h00.
10km Race: Starts at 06h00; cut-off at 08h00.
5km Fun Run: Starts at 06h10; cut-off at 08h00.

Entry Fees:

42.2km Marathon: R310
21.1km Half-Marathon: R180
10km Race: R140
5km Fun Run: R60

Note: Temporary license fee of R70 may apply.

Online Entries:

Close on Tuesday, 21 January 2025.

Late Entries:

Accepted at Wonderpark Shopping Mall on Friday, 24 January from 14h00 to 19h30.
Race day entries available only for 5km & 10km events from 04h00 to 06h00.
Note: Late entries incur an additional R30 fee.

Number Collection:

Friday, 24 January: 14h00 – 19h30 at Wonderpark Shopping Mall.
Race Day: From 04h00 at Wonderpark Shopping Mall.

Starting and Finishing Point:

All races start and finish at Wonderpark Shopping Mall, Pretoria.

Hydration:

Water points available approximately every 3 km.

Timing:

Gun to mat timing will be used.

Medals:

Medals awarded to all finishers.

Prize Money:

Prize money awarded to top finishers in various categories.

Additional Information:

Tog bag facilities available.
Use of music players with headphones is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
No animals allowed.
Walkers are welcome; cut-off times apply to both runners and walkers.
Toilets available at every water point.
Medical support present on race day.
No spot prizes.
